Bus transportation to school will be accessible to any child living more than half a mile from their school. In the event that other transportation options are not available, those that live within half a mile from their school will be classified as “walkers”.
Classrooms have a flexible seating arrangements and are very engaging. Mathematical studies, Social Studies, English language arts, (ELA) and science are the main subjects. Other courses include arts as well as physical education. Children have 35 minutes each throughout the day at lunchtime and during recess to play or eat. There is a library that is included. Students learn to find and borrow books from the extensive library.
The doors will remain locked. Visitors are required to be identified with a proof of ID and pass an interview. Additionally, they need to get a badge and sign out.
